Help Celebrate Ex-Soldiers of Jamaica — serving with honor, building community, making a difference.
The principles that guide every program, initiative, and act of service we undertake
The Jamaica Ex-Soldiers Association Atlanta Chapter (JESAAC) was established to create resources to assist in the developmental process of current and ex-service members, families, friends and communities, by assisting in their wellbeing, especially in times of need and creating programs that will impact lives and social wellbeing. This will be done through volunteerism, fundraising, training and public relations efforts.
To inspire all members of our JESA chapter to bring out the best in each other so that we can create a truly inspired and homogenous platform for the achievement of our goals and aspirations and to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate and beyond.
Making a tangible impact across Georgia and Jamaica through targeted community programs
Engaging in community development activities that enhance educational, cultural, social, and civil programs. Providing scholarships, bursaries, and incentives to assist ex-service members, their children, and families.
Providing humanitarian aid to communities in Georgia and Jamaica, supporting those in need and strengthening the bonds between our two communities across borders.
Providing food and other basic necessities to persons in need, including relief for victims of natural disasters, based on the availability of resources.
Relieving suffering and disability caused by old age, including facilities for care, maintenance, and rehabilitation of ex-service men and women of the JDF.
Forming a strong bond between current and ex-service members of the JDF in and around Atlanta, Georgia — creating a brotherhood that endures beyond service.
Implementing responsible social fundraising and community projects in a manner that upholds the creed of JESAAC and honors the name of the Jamaica Defence Force.
Members are expected to attend regular general meetings. All meetings are conducted in a parliamentary manner in accordance with Roberts Rules of Order.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held on the third Sunday in January each year for elections, financial reports, and the President's "State of the Association" address.
Members in good standing — those who have attended at least three consecutive meetings and paid their dues — are eligible to vote and take part in major decisions.
